A team of Year 10 Business students travelled to Ashton Gate, Bristol today to take part in the regional final of the Coca-Cola Business Challenge. The day consisted of a range of challenges where they had to produce an anti-littering campaign for the local area. They had to design an app, bus stop poster, mascot, slogan, social media plan and calculate the costs for a campaign launch event.
Being such an organised team, they worked ahead of deadlines and worked effectively together. Their mentor, a Coca-Cola employee, commented on their incredibly enthusiastic work ethic, superb teamwork and the high quality of products produced for the campaign.
They confidently presented their campaign to over 100 people, including Coca-Cola's UK CEO, providing a very professional campaign pitch to the judging panel. Whilst we did not progress through to the Nationals, our team are already winners in our eyes as they put a lot of effort into the challenge - well done to the team!
Whilst waiting for the judges to decide, Mrs Swaine and fellow teachers also had to pitch their own campaign so she also had to demonstrate her own Business skills and produce a convincing pitch. Her team won so she clearly did a good job.
