Huish Sixth

University of Exeter professor visits students

As part of our programme of Learning without Limits we are keen to invite experts to Huish who can talk to students about their expertise and interests.

This year we have had an ongoing project with Professor Neville Morley (Professor of Ancient History) from Exeter University who has been working with a group of students on a famous Greek article 'the Melian Dialogue' and how this passage by Thucydides can be used to debate power and justice in different contexts.

Professor Morley was also welcomed by a group of Year 8 students who listened attentively to a talk on Roman slavery. This topic gave them the opportunity to contrast the topic of Slavery in Classical and Modern history.
